After earning his Advanced Diploma in Computer System Technology from GBC in 2018, Jaskaran entered the IT world to explore his passion for Computer Systems and landed on an amazing opportunity at one of the top law firms in Canada, Stikeman Elliott. While working for Stikeman Elliott over the past 3 years, he was able to get 2 promotions. In addition to his primary job, Jaskaran works on different IT equipment deployment projects with Unio Tech Solutions on a part-time basis.
Syed Ishteaque Ahmed is a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive IT project management professional who is certified as a PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and NewGenP Product Owner. He has a combined experience of over 15+ years as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Teacher, as well as, a Web Application Developer. Currently, Syed is the Senior Advisor and Technical Project Lead at the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Ontario.
Sianna is a GBC alumni from the Business Administration program. She started her career as a recruiter in Recruitment Process Outsourcing, supporting companies like Top Hat, iHeartMedia, and Jelli with their IT positions. She later gained experience supporting the tech transformation of small and medium-sized business in Atlantic Canada and Quebec as a Territory Account Executive at Softchoice. Currently, she is working with Ernst & Young, recruiting within finance and tech.
Stephanie is a Business-Marketing GBC alumna. She worked on campus as an International Student Peer Leader, volunteered for the GBC International Centre as an ambassador, and received the Michael Cooke Leadership Award after graduating in April 2020 in the first wave of Covid and lockdown. During this unprecedented time, she found an opportunity to break into tech. Today, she works as a Team Lead- Territory Account Executive II at Softchoice, one of the largest IT organizations in Canada.
Kristen works as an Application Coordinator for the EPIC EHR/EMR at Women's College Hospital. She completed her BSc in Neuroscience and Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier Univerisity and is a graduate of the Health Informatics program at George Brown College. She continues to fulfill her passion for helping others in the sphere of health informatics, health information technolognies and data science within the healthcare field.
